Maize Researcher Wins Prestigious National Academy of Sciences Prize

Jeffrey Ross-Ibarra, a professor in the Department of Evolution and Ecology at the ��ϲ�ͼ��, Davis, has been awarded the prestigious National Academy of Sciences Prize in Food and Agriculture Sciences for 2024.

��ϲ�ͼ�� Joins National Academies Partner Network to Prevent Sexual Harassment in Higher Education

��ϲ�ͼ�� will join a new partner network to the National Academies’ Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education. ��ϲ�ͼ�� is among thirteen higher education-focused organizations in the inaugural group of network partners, which will share their work to prevent and address sexual harassment in higher education.

Cell Biologist Jodi Nunnari Elected to National Academy of Sciences

Professor Jodi Nunnari, chair of the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology in the College of Biological Sciences at the ��ϲ�ͼ��, Davis, has been elected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences. She studies mitochondria, tiny structures that provide energy to living cells and which are implicated in a wide range of diseases, including heart disease, stroke and inherited conditions.
